How to Make a List of Places in Google Maps on iOS, Android, and Computer

Note: As steps are quite identical, you can follow the same steps in your mobile app or web to create and manage your list of places. In this tutorial, we are going to use the mobile app.
How to Create a New list and Save Your Favorite Places in Google Maps
Step #1. Open the Google Maps app and then search for a place or tap it on the map. Step #2. Next, tap on the place name or address. Step #3. Next up, tap on Save. Step #4. Up next, tap on New list in the menu. Then, enter a name and tap on Create. You have successfully made a special list and saved a place to it. To add more places to the list, find the one you wish to include and tap on it. Then, tap on Save and select the name of the list in the menu.
View Your Google Maps Lists
You can quickly access all the places you have added to your list. To do so, simply open the Google Maps → tap on Menu button → Your places and select Saved. Now, all of your saved placed will be listed.
Edit Your Google Maps Lists
It’s pretty simple to manage your Google Maps Lists. Step #1. Launch Google Maps → tap on menu button → Your places → Tap on Saved. Step #2. Now, tap on the more button next to the list you wish to edit. Step #3. Next up, select Edit list in the menu. Step #4. Up next, change the name of the list or even description. Be sure to tap on Save at the top right to confirm.
Delete Google Maps List
Don’t want to keep a certain list anymore? You can get rid of it with ease. Step #1. Open Google Maps → menu button → Your places → tap on Saved. Step #2. Next, tap on the more button next to the list you want to remove. Step #3. Now, select Delete list in the menu and hit Delete in the popup to confirm.
Hide/Show Google Maps List from
Want to keep your list hidden? There is also an option to do it. Step #1. Open the Google Maps app → Your places → Saved → tap on More button next to the list you like to hide. Step #2. Now, select Hide on your Map. If you ever wished to change your mind, follow the same steps and then select Show on your map in the end.
Share Google Maps Lists
It’s really nice to share your favorite list with your friends. However, one thing worth noting is that you won’t be allowed to share starred places. Step #1. Open the Google Maps app → Your places → Saved → More button next to the list you want to share. Step #2. Now, tap on Share list. The app will offer you a link to share your list. Tap on Continue. Then, select the medium through which you wish to share the list. You have several options like Messages and email. Select any of the options and share it as usual. Note: Check out the Sharing options in the menu. It lets you make your list public, private, or shared. If you want anyone with the link to see your list, select Shared. If you wish to let, anyone, find and follow your list, select Public.
Follow/Unfollow Google Maps List
When you start following a list created by others, their saved places will appear as suggested locations in Google Maps. Step #1. Tap on the link you have received. Step #2. Now, tap Follow. It will be included in the group of lists you follow in Saved section. If you want to unfollow a list, tap on menu → Your places → Saved → tap on the list you want to unfollow → select Unfollow list.
